Sgt.Spec.Anthony E.Madison;27;of 204 Park Manor;Monessen;died Monday;Feb.25;1991;in Dhahran;Saudi Arabia;in combat as a member of the United States Army reserves in Saudis Arabia. Born Sept.14;1963;in North Charleroi;he was the son of Norman Madison Sr.of Monessen;who survives;and the late Flora Davis Madison;who died in 1982. A lifelong resident of Monessen;Sgt.Spec.Madison was a 1983 graduate of Monessen High School where he was an outstanding football player. He was a member of the 14th Quartermaster Detachment of the U.S.Army Reserves. As a member of the reserves;he was also on the boxing team. Surviving; in addition to his father;are his wife;Lee Ann Bright Madison;one son;Anthony Jr.;at home;one daughter;TaCarra;at home;his stepmother;Darla Madison;his maternal grandparents;Mr.and Mrs.Emanuel Anderson of Monessen;his paternal grandparents;Mr.and Mrs.Robert Madison of Charleroi;his maternal great-grandmother;Thelma Greene of Monessen;one brother;Norman Boogie Madison of Pontiac;Mich.;two sisters;Cathy Ross of Virginia and JoAnn Grogan of Monessen;a godchild;Tuanya Henderson of Monessen;and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Tuesday and Wednesday from 2 to 9 p.m.at the Monessen Civic Center;Donner Avenue;Monessen. Services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m.in Mt.Calvary Baptist Church;Reed Ave.;Monessen;with the Rev.Griffith E.Mason;pastor;offficiating. Interment with full military graveside rites accorded will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by the William R.Taylor Funeral Home;Monessen.
