Anthony E. Taravella; 67; of
Monessen; died Monday; Dec.
18; 1995; at 3 p.m. in Mon Valley Hospital.
He was born Oct. 29;1928; in
Monessen; a son of the late Salvatore Taravella; who died in
July 1993; and Francis DiPiazza Taravella; who survives
and with whom he resided.
He was a member of the Epiphany of Our Lord Roman
Catholic Church; Monessen. He
was a member of the Moose; the
Eagles and the American Legion. He was a lifelong resident
of Monessen. He retired in 1986
from the Allenport Plant of
Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel;
where he was an engineer on
the railroad. He was a U.S.
Army veteran of the Korean
Conflict.
Survivors; in addition to his
mother; include two brothers
and two sisters-in-law; Frank
J. and Norma Taravella of Belle
Vernon and Joseph L. and Karen Taravella of Carroll Township; three sisters and
brothers-in-law; Thomas and
Marie Blatnik of Fallowfield
Township; David and Joann
Cathers of Hanover; Md.; and
John and Josi Zdilla of Chandler; Ariz;
Friends will be received
Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and
Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to
9 p.m. in the Ferguson Funeral
Home Inc.; 700 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon. Prayer services will be held Thursday at 9:15 a.m.;followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m.in the Epiphany of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church;Monessen. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.is in charge of the arrangements.
