Anna Mae Melvin,78,of 382 Ella St.,Belle Vernon,died Monday, Jan. 27,1992,at 6:45 p.m. in Mon Valley Hospital, Inc.,Carroll Township. Born May 5,1913,in North Charleroi,she was the daughter of the late Elija and Prudence Gauden. A lifelong resident of the Belle Vernon area,Mrs. Melvin was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church. In addition to her parents,she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul J. Melvin,on Aug. 9,1980. Surviving are one daugthter,Mrs. Frank (Carol) Pendo of Fairhope; one sister, Mrs. Cyril (Honor) Sotta of Fairhope;four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Friends will be received Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and will be received Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Ferguson Funeral Home Inc. 700 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,where a Prayer service will be held Thursday at 9:30 a.m.,followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church,Belle Vernon. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by the Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.
