Obituary
Anna Skuta Petros,83,of 614 Fayette St.,Belle Vernon,died Sunday,April 4,1993,at 1:30 a.m.in Belair Nursing Home,Lower Burrell. She was born Feb.3,1910,in Tarentum, a daughter of the late John and Kathryn Petrak Skuta. Mrs.Petros had lived in the Belle Vernon area the past 50 years. She was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church and its Legion of Mary. She had owned and operated Petros Market on Fayette Street in Belle Vernon for many years before retiring in 1972. In addition to her parents,she was preceded in death by her husband, John Petros,who died Oct.13,1965. Survivors include one daughter,Mrs. Robert (Helen) Buzan of North Little Rock,Ark.;three brothers,Joseph Skuta of Natrona Heights,Martin Skuta of Tarentum and Steve Skuta of Brackenridge;three sisters,Mrs. Edward (Helen) Josefoski,Mrs. Daniel (Cecelia) Szymkiewicz and Mrs. Leonard (Josephine) Jendrejeski,all of Natrona Heights;and two grandchildren. Friends will be received Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.in the Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home,626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon,where a Prayer service will be held Wednesday at 9:30 a.m.,followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Sebastian R.C.Church,Belle Vernon. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
