Mrs. J. C. West, aged 77 years, died Wednesday morning,September 22,1937 at 11:45 o'clock at her home, 420 Second street, following a lingering illness. ShehHad been a resident of Monessen for the past 32 years and a life long member of the United Brethren Church. Surviving are her husband, one daughter, Mrs. L. S. Blackburn of Belle Vernon and two sons, F. O. West of Salem, Ohio and William C. West of California. A brother,John Henderson of Oakland, California, also survives along with a sister, Mrs. N. A. Nunshower, of Cleveland, twelve grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services have been arranged for Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the home, with Rev. M, M. Houser, of Jeannette, a former pastor of the local United Brethren Church officiating. Interment will follow at the Belle Vernon Cemetery.
