Anna Matway;88;of Perryopolis;died Tuesday;Feb.27;2001 in Mercy Hospital;Pittsburgh. She was born June 26;1912;in Arnold City;a daughter of the late George and Anna Shandor Seman. Anna was a member of St.John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church in Perryopolis and its Altar Society. Survivors include a daughter;Miss Shirley A.Matway of Perryopolis;two grandsons;two great-granddaughters;three sisters;Mrs.Sue Beeler of Arnold City;Betty of Fairhope and Helen of Lynnwood. In addition to her parents;She was preceded in death by her husband;Stephen Matway;and two sons;Bernard Matway and Joseph Matway. Friends will be received in the BLAIR-LOWTHER FUNERAL HOME INC.;106 E.Independence St.;Perryopolis on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.;where a prayer service will be held Friday at 1 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will follow at 1:30 p.m. in St.John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church;with the Rev.John T.Euker as celebrant. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. A wake service will be held Thursday at 8 p.m.
