Anna E. Maksa,88,of 113 First St.,Belle Vernon,died Monday, July 3,1989,at 10:45 a.m. at her home. Born Sept. 30,1900,in Czechoslovakia,whe was the daughter of the late John and Anna Kerestes Derzy. Mrs. Maska had lived in Belle Vernon for the past 60 years,having moved into the borough from Monessen. She was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church. In addition to her parents,she was preceded in death by her husband, George Maksa,on Nov. 10,1948,and a grandson,Jeffrey Adams,on April 4,1966. Surviving are one son, George Maksa of Chicago, Ill.;five daughters, Mrs. Earl C. (Ethel) Dunkeriy of Columbus, Ohio,Mrs. Thomas (Betty) Mayernik of Baltimore, Md.,and Mrs. William (Joan) Picchiarini,Mrs. George (Evelyn) Adams and Mrs. Thomas (Jean) Patterson,all of Belle Vernon,20 grandchildren;16 great-grandchildren;and one sister, Mrs. Frank (Elizabeth) Fundy of Belle Vernon. Friends will be received Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.,in the Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.,700 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,where a Prayer service will be held Friday at 9:30 a.m.,followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church,Belle Vernon. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by the Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.
