Anna Mae (Davies) Coates,80,of Fayette City R.D. (Brownstown), died Friday,Nov.5,1993,in Mon Valley Hospital,Carroll Township,after a short illness. Mrs. Coates was born Sept. 5,1913,in Brownsville,a daughter of the late Thomas and Nellie Huseman Davies. Her husband,Frank Coates,died June 30,1986. She was a member of the Fayette City United Presbyterian Church. Surviving are two daughters,Mrs. LeRoy (Iris) Thomas of Belle Vernon and Marcia Rae Coates at home;two grandsons,Frank LeRoy (and wife Pam) Thomas of Fayette City and Duane David (and wife Liz) Thomas of Fayette City R.D.;and five great-grandchildren. Friends will be received in the Howard W. McCrory Funeral Home,Fayette City,on Saturday from 5 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Monday until 11 a.m.,the hour of services in the funeral home,with the Rev. Michael Shepard officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Howard W. McCrory Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
