Anna Vargo Pushkar,84,formerly of Lee Drive,Belle Vernon,died on Thursday,Jan. 2,1992,at 2:15 p.m. at Hope Hill Nursing Home in Greensburg. She was born March 28,1907,in Tunelton,Pa.,a daughter of the late Damian and Susan Wargo Vargo. Mrs. Pushkar was a lifelong resident of the Belle Vernon area,and was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church of Belle Vernon. She was preceded in death by her husband, John S. Pushkar,on April 4,1988,and one brother, Samuel Vargo. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law,Leonard and Carol Pushkar of Belle Vernon;one daughter and son-in-law,Mary Ann and Walter Melanowski of Belle Vernon;one brother,John Vargo of Broken Arrow,Okla.;one sister,Kay Vargo of Port Richey,Fla.;six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Friday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Leonard J. Parzyndki Funeral Home,626 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon. A Prayer service will be held Saturday morning at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m at St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church of Belle Vernon. Interment will follow at Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Leonard J. Parzynski Funeral Home is handling funeral arrangements.
