Obituary
Mrs. Anna Hawk of 534 Donner Avenue,Monessen,died suddenly Sunday, December 30,1956,at 11:50 a.m.,enroute to church. Mrs. Hawk had been a resident of Monessen for fifty years,and was a member of St. Leonard's Church,the Sacred Heart Society,and the Monessen chapter of the Catholic Daughters of America. She is survived by one son, Herbert,four brothers, Charles,Alfred,William and Frank Gropp,all of Beaver Falls,three grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Friends will be recevied at the Check Home for Funerals beginning at 7 p.m. Dec. 31. Funeral home visiting hours are from 2 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. Services will be held from the funeral home at 9 a.m. Thursday,Jan.3,followed by Requiem High Mass at 9:30 a.m. at the St. Leonard R.C.Church with the Rev. Martin O'Toole officiating. Interment will be in the Belle Vernon Cemetery. John L. Kravets,funeral director.
