Anna Miller Guth Navarra,87,formerly of Monessen,died Tuesday,April 18,1995,in Mon Valley Hospital. She was born March 1,1908,in Masontown,a daughter of the late Frank and Letitia Sartori Miller. Mrs. Navvarra was past president of the Sokol Auxiliary,a Graduate College of Regent of the Women of the Moose,a 39-year member of the Eagles Auxiliary and a member of the Monessen Senior Citizens. She was married in 1929 to Joseph Guth,who preceded her in death. She then remarried on Feb. 24,1971,to Charles Navarra,who also preceded her in death. Surviving are four daughters,Hope Guth of Monessen,Noreen Glister of Fayette City,Mrs. Robert (Sally) Gray of Fallowfield Township and Mrs. James (Janet) Horvath of Bentleyville;five sons,Alfonso of Monessen,Joseph of New Jersey,Donald of Fairless Hills, Tony of LaFayette,Ind.,and David of Venice, Texas; a granddaughter that she raised,Denise Ann Guth of the state of California;a sister, Grace DiRito of the state of California;16 grandchildren;seven great-grandchildren;three step-grandchildren;four step-great-grandchildren;and one step-great-great-grandchild. She was also preceded in death by one son,John;four brothers,John Miller,Carl Miller, Sam Miller and Dan Miller;one sister,Carmella (Nellie) Miller Guth;and two granddaughters, Debbie and Susie. Friends will be received Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Stephen D. Yoney Jr. Funeral Home,100 Schoonmaker Ave.,Monessen,where services will be held Friday at noon with the Rev. James Mimides officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Stephen D. Yoney Jr. Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
