Anna McDowell Cottingham.71;formerly of Belle Vernon;died Thursday;April 11;1991;in Rochester;N.Y. Born Dec.30;1919;in Belle Vernon;she was the daughter of the late William and Margaret McDowell. Mrs.Cottingham was a graduate of Belle Vernon High School. She graduated in 1957 from the University of Pittsburgh;where she received a bachelor of science degree. In 1966 she received her masters degree from the University of West Virginia. She retired in 1990 from the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Ft.Lyons;Colo.;at which time she moved to Rochester. In addition to her parents;whe was preceded in death by her husband;Huey Cottingham. Surviving are three daughters;Regina Malone;Elaine Cottingham and Nichole Johnson;all of Rochester;N.Y.;13 grandchildren;13 great-grandchildren;and two brothers;Robert McDowell of Rochester and Leroy McDowell of Cincinnati;Ohio. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m.;in Metropolitan Chapel in Rochester. Interment will take place at 2 p.m.;Wednesday;in Belle Vernon Cemetery;with the Rev.Luther Wormack officiating.
