Obituary
Ann Soroka of 121 Price Ave.,Belle Vernon,died Wednesday,Dec. 14,1988 at her home. She was 70. Miss Soroka was born Sept. 6,1918 in Rostraver Township,a daughter of the late Theodore and Irene Pawlack Soroka.She was a member of Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church, Belle Vernon and the St. Barbaras Altar Guild of the Church. Miss Soroka was a former employee of the S&Y Foodland in Rostraver Township,retiring in 1980. She was a lifelong resident of the Belle Vernon area. In addiiton to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Michael (Cherry) and Steve and by two sisters, Eva Smith and Irene Goresh. Survivors include one brother,the Very Rev. Theodore Soroka of Miami,Fla,; five sisers, Augustine Soroka of Belle Vernon, Stevanna Lis of Aliquippa,Mrs. William (Helen) Gaber of Pittburgh,Mrs. Anthony (Vera) Trona of Donora and Mrs. Ronald (Martha) Zeli of Belle Vernon and nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Ferguson Funeral Home,700 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon. Friends will gather on Saturday, Dec. 17,at Holy Resurrection Church,Belle Vernon,for services at 9 a.m. with the Rev. John Kluchko,pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Parastas service will be held Friday at 8 p.m. in the funeral home. The Ferguson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
