Obituary

Ann Simensky Costello, 84, of Belle Vernon, died Thursday, April 8, 2004, at 9:20 a.m. in Haven Crest Nursing Home, Carroll Township. Born Aug. 10, 1919, in Grindstone, she was a daughter of the late Peter Sr. and Mary Kuchta Simensky. Mrs. Costello was a resident of Rostraver Township for the past 59 years, a homemaker, and Catholic by faith. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Michael David and Janice Costello of Rostraver Township, one daughter, Mary Ann Landkrohn of Rostraver Township, two grandchildren, Melissa Ann Riva and Michael Aaron Costello, one great-granddaughter, Janna Riva, and four sisters and three brothers-in-law, Helen and Tom Hall of Ventura, Calif., Jackie and Joe Zaharewicz of Pittsburgh, Pauline and Chester Porzucik of Warren, Ohio, and Mary Berger of Clarksville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael CosteIlo, on April 7, 2003, and three brothers, John Simensky, Peter Simensky Jr., and Joseph Simensky. Visitation will be held Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the LEONARD J. PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME, family owned and operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-6183. Services will be held Saturday, April 10 a.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Ronald Cyktor Jr., parochial vicar, St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church, Belle Vernon, officiating. Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Members of St. Sebastian parish will pray the rosary for the departed soul of Ann Costello on Friday at 3:30 p.m. in the funeral home.
