Obituary

Anita (Annetta) Fisher, 73, of Speers Hill, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 29, 2010, after a year-long battle with lung cancer. She was born Aug. 24, 1936 in Glenshaw, a daughter of the late James and Ella Ellis Hixenbaugh. Mrs. Fisher was a member of St. Mary's Anglican Church in Charlerol. She was a CNA by profession, and a beloved mother to all of her children. She is survived by three sons and three daughters, Joseph Axton, of California, James (Lisa) Axton, of Monessen, Jack Fisher, of Georgia, Donna Kopecek, of Charleroi, Rosemarie Fisher-Easel, of Speers Hill, and Annamae (John) Fisher-Kachursky, of Sharon, 11 grandchildren, Nichole Sickels-Crisi, Robert (Crystal) Sickels, Jayme Kopecek, Kristy (Dave) Telegraphis, Melanie (Russ) Sanner, Michael (Mairim) Basel, Anthony Basel, Jordan Basel, Alan Basel, Jessica (Paul) Senger and Julie Skaine, 12 great-grandchildren, Brittany and Ashley Crisi, James, Thomas and Spencer Sickels, Bunter and Madeline Telegaphis, David, Sara and Emily Sanner, Elijah Reines and Eric Basel, one great-great-granddaughter Bella Rose Dalfonso. She is also survived by her siblings, James (Doris) Hixenbaugh, of Texas, Pauline Rhoden, of Florida, Esther Forsythe, of Charleroi, Michael Hixenbaugh, of South Carolina, Michael (Donna) Hixenbaugh, of Perryopolis, Richard Hixenbaugh, of Elco, James (Cindy) Hixenbaugh, of Perryopolis, and a sister-in-law, Rosemarie Hixenbaugh, of Ohio. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Fisher was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Anita Basel, and the following siblings, William Hixenbaugh, Jack Hixenbaugh, Anna Bryant, Edna Mae Hixenbaugh, Linda Hixenbaugh, Mary Lou McGill, and Janet Hixenbaugh. Friends will he received Thursday, July 1, from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday, July 2, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the SCHROCK-HOGAN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES INC., 226 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 3, at 10 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, 6th Street and Lookout Avenue, Charleroi, with Father Robert Hanila officiating.
