Obituary

Anita V.Karlosky of 601 Eastgate Manor,Monessen,died Monday,July 22,1985,at 12:45 p.m. in the Mon Valley Hospital. She was 78. Mrs.Karlosky was born Aug.14,1906,in Belle Vernon,a daughter of the late Peter and Rose Tucci Venneri. She was a member of St.Paul Lutheran Church of Monessen. Mrs.Karlosky was also a member of the Women's Club of Monessen,the Retired Teachers Association and the AARP. A graduate of California Normal School,she had been employed as an elementary teacher in Belle Vernon from 1936 to 1941,and in Monessen from 1946 until her retirement in 1968. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband,Herman,June 30,1973,a brother,Eugene Venneri,June 6,1973,and by three sisters,Assuntina Trozzo,feb.21,1968,Hazel Venneri,Feb.12,1983,and Sylvia Venneri,June 21,1983. Survivors include three daughters,Mrs.Anthony (Rita) Caruso of Willowick,Ohio,Mrs.George (Elaine) Albert of Carroll Twp.,and Mrs.William (Carol) Stoneman of Springfield,Va.,nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Friends will be received Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.in the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home,700 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,where services will be held Thursday,July 25,1985 at 11 a.m. with the Rev.Reinold Schlak,pastor of St.Paul Lutheran Church of Monessen,officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. If friends wish,in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice. Shelby D.Ferguson,funeral director,is in charge of arrangements.
