Andrew (Slab) Soltis; 71; of
Lenity Road; Rostraver
Township; died Tuesday; April
11;2000; in his home. He was
born Aug. 18; 1928; in
Monessen; to the late Michael
and Mary Macura Soltis. He is
survived by a son and daughter-in-law; Shawn and Debbie
Soltis of Cranberry Township;
two daughters and a son-inlaw; Lorryli Caldwell and
Denise and David Momak; all
of Rostraver Township; three
brothers; Michael Soltis of
Monessen; Peter Soltis of
Stewart; Fla.; and Paul Soltis
of Valinda; Calif.; three sisters;
Mary Lacanic of Monessen;
Dorothy Stefan of Belle
Vernon; and Margaret Roe of
Monessen; nine grandchildren
and one great-grandchild. Mr.
Soltis resided in Rostraver
Township since 1955; and
retired from the Page Plant of
Monessen after 24 years. He
worked at Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel; Allenport; for
10 years. In addition to his
parents; he was preceded in
death by his wife; Lorraine
Ritchie Soltis in 1990; two
sons; Keith in 1976; Kevin in
1989; two brothers; John and
Joseph Soltis and a sister; Ann
Soltis. Friends will be
received in the FERGUSON
FUNERAL HOME INC.; 700
Broad Ave.; Belle Vernon;
Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be in the funeral home
Thursday at 10 a.m.
Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
