Obituary

Andrew Melnick,83, of 915 Graham Street,Belle Vernon,died at the home of his daughter,Mrs.Stephen Amonga of West Mifflin Borough,Sunday August 3,1958,at 5:30 p.m. He was born in Austria,and was a member of St.Nicholas Ukrainian Orthodox Church,Monessen. He was a blacksmith by trade,and was retired as a coal miner. He is survived by his wife,Mary Melnick,two sons,Walter A.,of Belle Vernon,Michael,of Weirton,West Virginia,one daughter,Mrs.Mary Amonga of West Mifflin Borough,eleven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Friends are being received at the Ferguson Funeral Home,Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,from 1 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. Brief funeral services will be held Thursday,Aug.7 at 9 a.m. with additional rites to follow from the St.Nicholas Ukrainian Orthodox Church,Monessen. The Rev.Dimitri Felenson will officiate at requiem high Mass. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Parastes services will be held Wednesday evenng,Aug.6 at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
