Andrew Melnick;83; of 915 Graham Street;Belle Vernon;died at the home of his daughter;Mrs.Stephen Amonga of West Mifflin Borough;Sunday August 3;1958;at 5:30 p.m. He was born in Austria;and was a member of St.Nicholas Ukrainian Orthodox Church;Monessen. He was a blacksmith by trade;and was retired as a coal miner. He is survived by his wife;Mary Melnick;two sons;Walter A.;of Belle Vernon;Michael;of Weirton;West Virginia;one daughter;Mrs.Mary Amonga of West Mifflin Borough;eleven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Friends are being received at the Ferguson Funeral Home;Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;from 1 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. Brief funeral services will be held Thursday;Aug.7 at 9 a.m. with additional rites to follow from the St.Nicholas Ukrainian Orthodox Church;Monessen. The Rev.Dimitri Felenson will officiate at requiem high Mass. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Parastes services will be held Wednesday evenng;Aug.6 at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
