Mr. Yankov was born in
Powhatan; W. Va; Oct. 30;
1912. He had been a resident of
Belle Vernon for 37 years.
He was a member of the
Holy Resurrection Orthodox
Church; Belle Vernon.
He retired June 4; 1967; from
the electrical department in the
open hearth of the Monessen
plant of Wheeling – Pittsburgh
Steel Corp.
Survivors include his widow;
Helen Ferencz Yankov; five
daughters; Mrs. Joseph (Margaret)
Schoenholtz of New Eagle;
Mrs. Michael (Patricia)
DePaolo of Charleroi; Mrs. Albert
(Pauline) Beno of Belle
Vernon; Mrs. Kenneth (Janice)
Mills of Tulsa; Okla. and Mrs.
Frank (Andrea) Hussar of
Charleroi; his father; Max
Yanko of Belle Vernon; three
sisters; Mrs. William Miller of
East Hartford; Conn.; Mrs
Andy Slay of Avella; Mrs.
Edward Garakian of Windsor
Locks; Conn.;and 12 grandchildren.
Friends are being received at the Shelby Ferguson Funeral Home;Belle Vernon;after 2 p.m.Saturday. Prayer service on Monday at 9:30 a.m.with Divine Liturgy at 10 a.m.from Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church with the Rev.John Kluchko;pastor;in charge. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Parastas service on Sunday at 8 p.m. Shelby Ferguson is the funeral director in charge of arrangements.
