Obituary

Jack Spencer,36,of 144 Main St.,Belle Vernon,died suddenly at his home Wednesday,Aug.19,1970,at 1 a.m. Mr.Spencer was an operator of heavy equipment for Westmoreland Paving Co.and belonged to St.Sebastian R.C.Church of Belle Vernon. A Belle Vernon resident since 1967,he formerly lived in Monessen. Mr.Spencer was born in Elizabeth Twp. Surviving are his widow,Ruth Conway Spencer,a son,John Thomas,and a daughter,Lisa,at home,four brothers,Carl of Belfast,Me.,Benjamin of Elizabeth,Fred Harold of Bentleyville,Robert of Monessen,five sisters,Mrs.Florence Panacucci of West Newton,Mrs.Sarah Costa of Wilson,Mrs.Jennie Zellie of Fredericktown,Ethel Spencer of Wilson,Gloria Spencer of Philadelphia. Friends will be received after 7 p.m.Aug.20 at Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home,Belle Vernon. Prayer there Friday,Aug.21,at 9:30 a.m.,followed by Requiem High Mass in St.Sebastian R.C.Church,Belle Vernon,at 10 a.m. The Very Rev.Martin J.O'Toole,pastor,will act as celebrant. Interment,Belle Vernon Cemetery. Shelby D.Ferguson is the funeral director.
