Obituary

A Fayette County man, his grandson and a fishing companion drowned Tuesday June 25,1963, in the Youghiogheny River near Perryopolis. Authorities identified the victims as Andrew Wilson,66,his grandson,Wayne Jones,13,and Ray Little,26,all of Belle Vernon. Witnesses said the Jones boy slid off a rock at a spot where the three had been fishing and Mr. Wilson and Mr. Little dived into the water in an effort to save him.   Mr. Wilson,retired employee of the Somers Mine, Pittsburgh Coal Co.,Pricedale is survived by his widow, Izore;two sons, Edgar and Andrew Jr.,both of Arnold City, three daughters, Mrs.Rebecca Dupree of Arnold City,Mrs. Elhot (Izora) Carson of Belle Vernon and Mary Ann Wilson,at home; one brother, Agusta Wilson of Birmingham,Ala.,one sister, Mrs. Fannie Copeland of Pensacola, Fla.,eight grandchilden and two great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Draper Funeral Home,Monessen. Services will be held Saturday, June 29 at 11 a.m. at the Antioch Baptist Church,Belle Vernon.  Rev. A.C. Morris will officiate.  Interment in Belle Vernon Cemetery.  Beverly C. Draper of Monessen is the funeral director.
