Obituary

Andrew Dennis Luzanski,57,of 646 Graham St.,Belle Vernon,died suddenly at 9:05 a.m. Tuesday,Nov.2,1976,in Charleroi Division of Mon Valley Hospital. He was a lifelong resident of Belle Vernon,born there on Nov.24,1918,a son of the late John and Ann Luzanski. Mr.Luzanski was employed at the Allenport Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. He was a member of St.Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church of Monessen,was past commander and current finance officer of American Legion Post 659,Belle Vernon,and belonged also to the Legion Club of Belle Vernon,Allenport Rod and Gun Club and American Slavonic Citizens Club of Fayette City. He was a veteran of world War II,having served in the U.S.Army Air Corps. Mr.Luzanski was preceded in death by a sister,Mary Luzanski,in 1960,and a brother,George Luzanski,in 1936. Surviving are his widow,Margaret Frantz Luzanski,one daughter,Mary Ann,at home,one son,John Paul,at home,two brothers,John Luzanski Jr.and Michael Luzanski,both of Belle Vernon,and three sisters,Anna Sarnowski and Mrs.Eugene (Helen) Gilmore,both of Belle Vernon,and Sue Janosik of Swissvale. Friends will be received at the Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home,626 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday,Nov.3,and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday,Nov.4. Blessing services will be held at the funeral home on Friday,Nov.5,at 9:30 a.m.,followed by additional services at St.Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church,Monessen,with Msgr.Andrew D.Parvensky,pastor,officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Services for the Dead will be held at the funeral home on Thursday at 7 p.m. and Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659 will hold services there on Thursday at 8 p.m. Leonard J.Parzynski is funeral director in charge.
