Amos A. Lucas,84,of 909 Summit Ave.,Monessen,died Wednesday, Jan. 17,1968 at 9:10 p.m. in Charleroi-Monessen Hospital. Mr. Lucas,retired,had been self-employed as a painter and interior decorator. He was a member of Wayman A.M.E. Church,Monessen, and was superintendent of the Sunday School there for many years. He was a charter member of the Okay Lodge,I.P.B.O.E. of W.,No. 697, Monessen. Surviving are a son, Alvin Sr. of Monessen; a sister, Mrs. Vauda Johnson of Meadville;five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the William R. Taylor Funeral Home,Monessen.
