Obituary

Amelia Razzando Vannucci, 97, of Belle Vernon, Washington Township, died Friday, Jan. 11, 2013, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center, Jefferson Borough. Born June 3, 1915, in Fairhope, she was the daughter of the late Alex and Mary Vitolla Razzando. A lifelong resident of Belle Vernon, Mrs. Vannucci was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church and a homemaker. She was a charter member of the former Anita Garibaldi Society, member of the former CD of A Belle Vernon Court 1522, former member of the Fayette City/Washington Township Lions Club, and a social member of the Belle Vernon American Legion. The last surviving member of her immediate family, she is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Sondra and Edward Grimm of Connellsville, son, Hugo A. Vannucci of Washington Township, four grandchildren, Edward Grimm Jr., Terrence Grimm, Kevin Grimm, and Brad Grimm, eight great-grandchildren, Tiffany Guittap, Justin Grimm, Sofia Grimm, Madison Grimm, Mia Grimm, Elizabeth Grim, Max Grimm, McKenzie Grimm, and a great-great-grandson, Aiden Guittap. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hugo S. Vannucci, Feb. 5, 1997, two brothers, John Razzando, Alfred Razzado, and a sister, Josephine Shaw. Visitation will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATIONS, Family Owned and Operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-6183. Prayer service will be held 9:30 a.m. Monday in the funeral home followed by 10 a.m. funeral Mass at St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church with the Rev. Msgr. Roger A. Statnick, pastor, as celebrant. Entombment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Members of St. Sebastian parish will pray the Rosary for the departed soul of Amelia Vannucci 4 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
