Obituary

Amelia J. Volpi, 84, of 429 Market St., Belle Vernon, died Thursday,Dec.14,1972,at 2:10 p.m. in the Charleroi Division of Mon Valley Hospitals, Inc. Born Aug. 6, 1888, in Italy, Mrs. Volpi had been a resident of Belle Vernon for the past 64 years. She was a member of St. Sebastian's R. C. Church, Anita Garibaldi Society, Confraternity of Christian Mothers and Defense Club, all of Belle Verrnon. Mrs. Volpi was preceded in death by her husband, John on Nov. 30, 1937, and a son, Octavio on June 10, 1964. Surviving are two sons, Orlando D. of Belle Vernon, James D. of Roscoe, three daughters, Mrs. Albert (Eunice) Dominick and Mrs. D. Chess (Mary) Marasco, both of Belle Vernon, Mrs. Joseph (Rose) Lorenzini of Blythedale, two sisters, Mrs. Chris Amicucci of Donora, Mrs. Linda Romito of Garfield Heights, Ohio, nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Friends will be received from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday and from 2 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. Sunday at the Shelby D. Ferguson Funeral Home, Belle Vernon,where a Prayer service will be held Monday at 9:30 a.m.followed by Mass at 10 a.m.at St.Sebastian R.C.Church,Belle Vernon,with the Rev.Martin J.O'toole,pastor,officiating. Interment in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Shelby D.Ferguson,funeral director in charge.
