Survivors include his widow;Edith Samoda Gates;his mother;Mrs.Hulda Gates of Monessen;two sons;Alvin of Fredericksburg;Va.;and Durwin;at home;a brother;Roy;of Belle Vernon;and two grandchildren. Services were held Sunday Nov.15;1970;with burial in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
