Obituary

Althea P. Heath, 89, of Belle Vernon, died Wednesday, June 18, 2008, in Mon Valley Hospital. A daughter of the late William and Minnie Kissler Pocky, she was born in Belle Vernon on Feb. 18, 1919. A lifelong resident of Belle Vernon, Althea was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Belle Vernon. She was a member for more than 49 years and past president of the Belle Vernon American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and John Zunic, of Belle Vernon, three grandchildren, Kimberly Zunic, John William Zunic and fiance Jennifer Mohn, and Eric Zunic, one great-grandson, Bradley Heath Orr, one brother-in-law, Fred Schmidt, of Belle Vernon, one sister- in-law, Margaret Louis, of Fairless Hills, and several nieces and nephews, including Melva Pocky, of Pittsburgh, Carole Chacko, of Charleroi, and Albert M. Pocky, of Belle Vernon. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William R. Heath, on Jan. 18, 2008, two children in infancy, Patty and Sandra Heath, and three brothers, William Pocky Jr., Albert Pocky and Henry Pocky. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY INC., (724) 929- 5300, 700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, (www.fergusonfuneralhomeandcrematory.com) Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday in the First Presbyterian Church of Belle Vernon with Rev.
