Althea P. Heath; 89; of Belle Vernon; died Wednesday; June 18; 2008; in Mon Valley Hospital. A daughter of the late William and Minnie Kissler Pocky; she was born in Belle Vernon on Feb. 18; 1919. A lifelong resident of Belle Vernon; Althea was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Belle Vernon. She was a member for more than 49 years and past president of the Belle Vernon American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law; Sharon and John Zunic; of Belle Vernon; three grandchildren; Kimberly Zunic; John William Zunic and fiance Jennifer Mohn; and Eric Zunic; one great-grandson; Bradley Heath Orr; one brother-in-law; Fred Schmidt; of Belle Vernon; one sister- in-law; Margaret Louis; of Fairless Hills; and several nieces and nephews; including Melva Pocky; of Pittsburgh; Carole Chacko; of Charleroi; and Albert M. Pocky; of Belle Vernon. In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband; William R. Heath; on Jan. 18; 2008; two children in infancy; Patty and Sandra Heath; and three brothers; William Pocky Jr.; Albert Pocky and Henry Pocky.
