Obituary

Alphonsine Dohan of 18250 Wellington Court,Strongsville,Ohio,formerly of Fayette Avenue,Belle Vernon (Fairhope),died Wednesday,Dec.9,1992,at 10:30 p.m. in Southwest General Hospital,Middleburg Heights,Ohio. She was born May 23,1913,in Belle Vernon,a daughter of the late Alfonso and palmira Equl Dolfi. A member of St.Sebastian Church,Belle Vernon,she had moved to Ohio five years ago to make her home with her daughter. In addition to her parents,she was preceded in death by her husband,John Dohan,who died Oct.4,1985,two sisters,Jenny Vannucci and Alberta Dolfi,and a brother,Ralph Dolfi. Survivors include two daughters,Mrs.David (Virginia) Pochatek,with whom she made her home in Strongsville,and Cecelia Dohan,also of Strongsville,three sisters,Helen Ryan of Akron,Ohio,Mary Verona of Pittsburgh and Enice Sousae of Greensburg,and three grandchildren,John,Jennifer and Jessica Bendik,all of Strongsville. Friends will be received Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.,700 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon. A prayer service will be held Monday at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church,Belle Vernon. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.is in charge of arrangements.
