Alphonsine Dohan of 18250 Wellington Court;Strongsville;Ohio;formerly of Fayette Avenue;Belle Vernon (Fairhope);died Wednesday;Dec.9;1992;at 10:30 p.m. in Southwest General Hospital;Middleburg Heights;Ohio. She was born May 23;1913;in Belle Vernon;a daughter of the late Alfonso and palmira Equl Dolfi. A member of St.Sebastian Church;Belle Vernon;she had moved to Ohio five years ago to make her home with her daughter. In addition to her parents;she was preceded in death by her husband;John Dohan;who died Oct.4;1985;two sisters;Jenny Vannucci and Alberta Dolfi;and a brother;Ralph Dolfi. Survivors include two daughters;Mrs.David (Virginia) Pochatek;with whom she made her home in Strongsville;and Cecelia Dohan;also of Strongsville;three sisters;Helen Ryan of Akron;Ohio;Mary Verona of Pittsburgh and Enice Sousae of Greensburg;and three grandchildren;John;Jennifer and Jessica Bendik;all of Strongsville. Friends will be received Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.;700 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon. A prayer service will be held Monday at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church;Belle Vernon. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.is in charge of arrangements.
