Alma R.Sneed;80;of Charleroi; died Tuesday; Feb. 8;
1994; in Mon Valley Hospital;
Carroll Township.
She was born Jan. 14; 1914; in
Speers; a daughter of the late
Louis and Harriet Hilton Sneed.
Miss Sneed was a retired
teacher in the Charleroi School
District.
She was a graduate of California
University of Pennsylvania
and received her master’s
degree in education from the
University of Pittsburgh.
She was a member of the First
United Methodist Church of
Charleroi; where she was a Sunday
School teacher for several
years.
She was also a member of the Charleroi Garden Club; BPW;
Charleroi Historical Society and
the John K. Tener Library of
Charleroi.
Surviving is a sister; Eleanor
Vetter of Fallowfield Township.
Three sisters and five
brothers are deceased.
Friends will be received
Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9
p.m. in the Schrock-Hogan
Funeral Home Inc.; 22 6 Fallowfield Ave.;Charleroi. Services will be held Friday at 11 a.m.in the funeral home with the Rev.Ed Hammett;pastor;First United Methodist Church of Charleroi;officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Schrock-Hogan Funeral Home Inc.is handing arrangements.
