Allen W.Smith;66;of Pricedale;died Saturday;Feb.6;1960;at 7:20 a.m.in the Oakland Veterans Hospital;Pittsburgh. Mr.Smith was a member of the Union Baptist Church;Monessen and was a trustee;treasurer of the Men’s Club;treasurer of the building fund and a member of the Usher Board of the church. He belonged to the Elks Okay Lodge 697 of Monessen;Joseph H.Ford Post 691 American Legion of Monessen and Twin City Lodge Free and Accepted Masons of Pricedale. A retired coal miner;Mr.Smith was a member of the United Mine Workers of America District 5. He is survived by a son;Robert Smith of Indianapolis;Ind. Friends are being received at the Carter Funeral Home;Monessen. Funeral services will be held Tuesday;Feb.9;at 11 a.m.from the Union Baptist Church;Monessen;with the Rev.E.W.Jarrett officiating.
