Alison C. Reppert;one of Belle Vernon’s oldest and most honored
citizens;died very unexpectedly Wednesday;December 5;1906 at 4 o’clock of heart failure;aged 72 years. Mr.Reppert had been in seemingly good health;and only the day before had been lively and chipper as ever;at the home of neighbors. He had gone to Bovard’s store on an errand yesterday;where he took sick;he was taken home and passed away in a very few moments. Born a mile below Brownsville Nov 13;1833 and died Dec 5;1906;moved to Belle Vernon in 1843 where his home was made with the exception of a three year residence at Brownsville. He was a glass blower;but had not worked for about four years. Deceased leaves a widow and six grown children-Robert;Frederick;Mrs.Wm.Hammitt and Mrs. Chas.F.Eggers are in Belle Vernon;Oliver at Brownsville amd Mrs. James Beamer;of Manor. C.L.Reppert;the Belle Vernon undertaker;is a brother;while J.A.Reppert;of Monessen;is a nephew. Funeral Friday at 2 o’clock.
