Alice May Michener; Belle
Vernon Apartments; died
Saturday; March 3; 1984; at
6:20 p.m. in Mon Valley
Hospital. She was 75.
Mrs. Michener was born in Fayette City on June 8;1908; a
daughter of the late Thomas
and Alice Pierce Owens.
Prior to moving to Belle
Vernon in 1975; she had been
a resident of Fisher Heights.
Protestant by faith; she had
been retired from the Carroll
School District; where she
was employed in the school
cafeteria.
In addition to her parents;
she was preceded in death by
her husband; William; in
February; 1971.
Survivors include a
daughter; Mrs. Clyde (Ruth)
Houseman of Belle Vernon; a
brother; James Owens of
Newell; four sisters; Mrs.
Violet Fitzpatrick; Mrs.
Agnes Wickerham and Mrs.
Margaret Walters; all of
Fisher Heights; and Mrs.
Edith Snyder of Youngstown;
Ohio; three grandchildren
and four great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at
the Shelby D. Ferguson
Funeral Home; 700 Broad
Ave.; Belle Vernon; Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday
from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held Wednesday;March 7;1984;at 1 p.m.and burial will be in the Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
