Obituary

Alice May Michener, Belle
Vernon Apartments, died
Saturday, March 3, 1984, at
6:20 p.m. in Mon Valley
Hospital. She was 75.
Mrs. Michener was born in Fayette City on June 8,1908, a
daughter of the late Thomas
and Alice Pierce Owens.
Prior to moving to Belle
Vernon in 1975, she had been
a resident of Fisher Heights.
Protestant by faith, she had
been retired from the Carroll
School District, where she
was employed in the school
cafeteria.
In addition to her parents,
she was preceded in death by
her husband, William, in
February, 1971.
Survivors include a
daughter, Mrs. Clyde (Ruth)
Houseman of Belle Vernon, a
brother, James Owens of
Newell, four sisters, Mrs.
Violet Fitzpatrick, Mrs.
Agnes Wickerham and Mrs.
Margaret Walters, all of
Fisher Heights, and Mrs.
Edith Snyder of Youngstown,
Ohio, three grandchildren
and four great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at
the Shelby D. Ferguson
Funeral Home, 700 Broad
Ave., Belle Vernon, Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday
from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held Wednesday,March 7,1984,at 1 p.m.and burial will be in the Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
