Mrs. Alice C. Weimer,73,of 607 Fallowfield Ave.,Charleroi,died Thursday morning, Nov. 9,1967 at 5 a.m. in the Charleroi-Monessen Hospital following a brief illness. Mrs. Weimer was born Feb. 28,1894,in Strattonville. She and her late husband,Marl,owned and operated a butcher shop in Charleroi for the past 50 years. A member of the First Methodist Church in Charleroi,she was a past president of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Arden Calvert Post VFW 167 in Charleroi. Survivors include two sons,Marl A. and Jack H.,both of Houston,Tex.;four brothers, Sid Sowers of Miami,Fla.,F.D.Sowers of Denver, Colorado,Jessie of Charleroi and D. Sowers of Strattonville and four grandchildren. Friends will be received after 7 p.m. Friday at the Michael A. Melinchak Funeral Home in Charleroi.
