Alice B.Black;91;of Charleroi R.D.1 died Tuesday;Aug.29;1989;at 1:15 p.m.in Mon Valley Hospital. She was born July 19;1898;in Charleroi;a daughter of the late Alice and Robert Hammitt. She was Protestant by faith. She had been a resident of Charleroi for the past 20 years. In addition to her parents;she was preceded in death by her husband;James C.Black in 1960. Survivors include one daughter;Mrs.Russell (Janet) Gray;whith whom she made her home;five grandchildren;six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Friends will be received Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.in the Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.;700 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;where funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m.with Dr.Thomas St.Clair;pastor of the First United Methodist Church of Belle Vernon;officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Arrangements ae being handled by the Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.
