Alice Ashley,74,of 8 Gaudio Dr.,Belle Vernon,died Monday,July 25,1988,at 11:20 p.m. in her home. She was aborn July 29,1913, in Perryopolis,a daughter of the late David and Frances Gibson Weimer. Mrs. Ashley had lived in the Belle Vernon area for the past nine months. She formerly lived in Irwin R.D.1,and was a member of the New Mars Hill Baptist Church of Rillton. In addition to her parents,she was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse H. Ashley on Sept. 26,1979,one brother and three sisters. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Edward (catherine) White of Belle Vernon; six grandchildren and eight grat-grandchildren. Friends will be received Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.,700 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon. Services will be held from the funeral home at 11 a.m. on Thursday,with the Rev. Joseph F. Dee of the New Mars Hill Baptist Church of Rillton officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by the Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.
