Alfred (Spats) Spadafore,82,of Charleroi died Sunday,April 29,1990,at 12:15 p.m. in Jefferson Hospital. Born Jan.22,1908,in Belle Vernon,he was the son of the late Joseph and Ann Spadafore. Mr. Spadafore was a member of First Christian Church,Charleroi. He was retired from the Allenport plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Lorena Byron Kontos;two brothers, Frank and Charles Spadafore;and a sister,Jennie Venneri. Surviving are his wife,Alice Woods Spadafore;four grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.Friends will be received Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.in the Schrock-Hogan Funeral Home,226 Fallowfield Ave.,Charleroi,where services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m.,with Rev. John C. Park of Marion Presbyterian Church in Fairhope officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by the Schrock-Hogan Funeral Home Inc.
