Obituary

Alfred Kirschner,68,of 314 Perry Ave., (Fairhope), Belle Vernon, died in Charleroi-Monessen Hospital at 11:56 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 27,1969. He was born in Austria on Aug. 5,1900.  Mr. Kirschner was a member of Fairhope Rod and Gun Club and Washington Twp. Fire Department Club.  He retired on July 16,1966,from the Monessen plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp.  He moved to Fairhope in 1956 from Charleroi. Surviving are his widow, Mary Nalepa Kirschner;a son, John Henry Nalepa at home;one brother, Howard Kirschner of Monessen;three sisters, Mrs. Tillie Cardinale of Detroit, Mich.,Mrs. Mary Watts of Bucyrus, Ohio and Mrs. Anna Wells of Charleroi. Friends will be received at the Shelby D. Ferguson Funeral Home,Belle Vernon, after 2 p.m. March 1. Service there Monday,March 3,at 10 a.m. with the Very Rev. Martin J. O'toole,pastor of St. Sebastian R.C.Church in Belle Venron,officiating.  Interment in Belle Vernon Cemetery.  Shelby D. Ferguson is funeral director.
