Obituary

Alfred E. Lazzari of Eastgate Manor,Monessen died Friday, Feb. 4,1983,at 3:45 p.m. in Westmoreland Manor, Greensburg. He was 79. Mr. Lazzari was born Nov. 20,1903,in Pistoia,Italy,a son of the late Demitrio and Nancy Dolfi Lazzari. He had been a resident of the Belle Vernon and Monessen area most of his life. Mr. Lazzari was retired from the Monessen Plant of the Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by four brothers, Hugo,Salvatore,Felix and Armond Lazzari,and two sisters, Narcissa  Breschi and Maria Livi. Survivors include his widow, Clara Tintori Lazzari;  three sons, Jordan of Southington, Conn.,Rio of Belle Vernon and Eugene of Donora; two daughters, Mrs. Richard (Norma) Parente of Belle Vernon and Mrs. Jack (Janette) Skekel of Monenesen;four sisters, Mrs. Brunetta Mencarelli of Belle Vernon,Mrs. Ida Innocenti of Brentwood,Mrs. Olga Carini and Mrs. Eva Carini,both of Okmulgee,Okla; 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Friends will be received in the Shelby D. Ferguson Funeral Home,700 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,on Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.  A Prayer service will be held on Monday at 12:30 p.m. in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christain Burial at 1 p.m. in St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church,Belle Vernon. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Shelby D. Ferguson,funeral director, is in charge of arrangements.
