Alek (Pete) Reska of Coal Center R.D.1 (Long Branch) died Wednesday,Dec. 28,1983 at 10:10 a.m. in the Washington County Health Center, Washington,Pa. He was 90. He was born Nov. 27,1893,in Lomza, Poland. He was a retired employee of the Monessen Works of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corporation. Mr. Reska had been a resident of Long Branch for the past 42 years. Prior to that,he had been a resident of Monessen. He was member of St. Jerome Roman Catholic Church,Charleroi. Mr. Reska was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Tardejna Reska;by his second wife,Louise Kujawski Reska;by his third wife,Katherine Sawich Reska and by one son, Frank Reska. Surviving are two sons,Walter Reska of Belle Vernon R.D.4 and Edward Reska of Long Branch;two daughters,Cecelia Reska,at home, and Mrs. Joseph (Stella) Grilli of Charleroi;six grandchildren;six great-grandchildren and two sisters in Europe. Friends will be received at the Carl J. Spallino Funeral Home,819 Fallowfield Ave.,Charleroi,Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. in St. Jerome Roman Catholic Church,Charleroi. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Carl J. Spallino Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
