Obituary

Alexander Filak,79,of 823 Graham St.,Belle Vernon,died in Charleroi-Monessen Hospital,Thursday,March 15,1962 at 6:30 a.m. He was retired from the Allenport plant of the Pittsburgh Steel Co. He was a member of the St.John the Divine Russian Orthodox Church,Monessen. Survivors are three sons,Charles of Speers Hill,Stephen of Perryopolis and Andrew Filak of Belle Vernon,three daughters,Mrs.Walter (Marie) Choker,Charleroi,Mrs.Albert (Ann) Pierce,Toledo,Ohio,Mrs.John (Theresa) Pudish,at home,one sister,Mrs.Anna Remo,Richeyville. Friends are being received at the Harold R.Toner Funeral Home in Belle Vernon between the hours of 1 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. Requiem Mass will be sung in St.John the Divine R.O.Church,Monessen,Monday,March 19,at 9 a.m. by the Very Rev.John Govrusik,pastor. Interment,Belle Vernon Cemetery. Harold R.Toner,funeral director.
