Alex Wozniak of 940 Washington Road;Belle Vernon;died Wednesday Jan.8;1986;at 5:10 p.m. in Mon Valley Hospital Inc. He was 78. Born July 12;1907;in Arnold City;he was a son of the late Joseph and Anna Brazzon Wozniak. He was preceded in death by three brothers;Albert;Walter and Frank Wozniak;and two sisters;Mary Halgas and Catherine Philips. Surviving are his wife;Kathryn Tisot Wozniak;two sons;Donald of Belle Vernon and Robert of Perryopolis;a daughter;Mrs.Thomas (Gloria) Hackenson of Belle Vernon;a brother;John Wozniak of Arnold City;a sister;Mrs.Julia Dobosh of Waynesburg and nine grandchildren. Mr.Wozniak was a lifelong resident of the Belle Vernon area. He was a member of St.Sebastian Catholic Church;Belle Vernon. Mr.Wozniak was a foreman in 1972 when he retired from the American Chain and Cable Co.with 40 years of service. Friends will be recieved Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home;626 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;where a prayer service will be held Saturday at 9:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial follows at 10 a.m. St.Sebastian Church;Belle Vernon. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Catholic Daughters of the Americas;Belle Vernon Court 1522;will recite the Rosary Friday at 3 p.m. at the funeral home.
