Obituary

Alex P. Teska, 71, of 501 Main St., Belle Vernon, died Saturday, Oct. 31, 1987, at 10:30 p.m. in Washington Hospital. Mr. Teska was born Oct. 9,1916, in Monessen, a son of the late Steven and Mary Skibinski Teska. He was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church, Belle Vernon. A Belle Vemon resident the past 47 years, Mr. Teska was formerly of Monessen. He retired in 1974 from the Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corporation's Monessen plant, where be had worked as a pipefitter. He was former vice president and grievance chairman for USWA Local 1229. Mr. Teska was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Marine Corps. In addition to his parents he was
preceded in death by a brother, Stanley Teska; and a sister, Katherine Coughenour. Survivors include his wife, Mary Mazza Teska; one daughter, Mrs. John (Patricia) Daniels of Belle Vemon; one brother, Robert Teska of South Carolina; three sisters, Stella Weible of Washington, Pa., Veronica (Florence) Kelemen of Monessen and Anne Lucas of Munhall; and two grandchildren,Alexis Daniels and John Daniels Jr. Friends will be received Monday
from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Shelby D. Ferguson Funeral Home, 700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon,where a Prayer service will be held Wednesday,Nov.4,at 9:30 a.m.,followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m.in St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church,Belle Vernon.  Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.  Shelby D.Ferguson,funeral director,is in charge of arrangements.,
