Born in Austria;Mr.Chabalka was a retired craneman at the Allenport Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. He was a member of Holy Trinity Orthodox Church;Charleroi. Surviving are his widow;Pearl Chabalka;one son;Nicholas C.of Belle Vernon;two daughters;Ann Lesiak and Mrs.Charles Jakubs;both of North Charleroi;five granddaughters;four great-grandchildren. Friends will be received from 2 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. Friday at the Michael A.Melinchak Funeral Home;Charleroi;where a brief prayer service will be held Saturday at 9:30 a.m. Requiem services will follow at 10 a.m. at Holy Trinity Orthodox Church;Charleroi;with the Rev.V.Soroka;pastor;officiating. Parastas services will be held Friday at 8:30 p.m. in the funeral home. Interment in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
