Alek R.Krill of 108 Lynnwood Ave.;Belle Vernon;died Friday;March 29;1985;at 9:42 a.m. in Mon Valley Hospital. He was 77. Mr.Krill was born May 4;1907;in Pricedale;a son of the late Michael and Anna Krill. A lifelong resident of the Belle Vernon area;he was a member of holy Resurretion Orthodox Church. Mr.Krill was an assistant professor of art education at California University of Pennsylvania;where he taught for 10 years. He received his bachelor of science degree from Edinboro State College and a master’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh. Mr.Krill also studied at Carneige Tech Fine Arts;Columbia University and Penn State Extension. He had served 28 years in public school education and also had eight years of collefiate experience. Mr.krill was also a part-time commercial illustrator. A member of five professional organizations;he had several articles and illustrations published in magazines. A U.S.Army veteran of World War II;he was a past member of the Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659. Survivors include his wife;Margaret Zajac Krill;one son;Alex A.Krill of Orange County;Calif.;two daughters;Margaret Ann Krill of Bridgeville and Andrea Marie Krill at home;one brother;Stephen Krill of Florida;a grandson and granddaughter;Alexis and Mary Margaret Krill;both of Orange County;Calif. Friends will be received Saturday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 10 to 11:30 a.m. in the Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home;626 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon. Friends and relatives will gathr on Sunday;March 31;at 1 p.m. at Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church;Mary Street;Belle Vernon;where services will be held with the Rev.John Kluchko;pastor;officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Parastas services will be held Saturday at 8:45 p.m. in the funeral home. The Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
