Alberta M. (Walker) White; 90; of Belle Vernon (Rostraver Township); died Tuesday; Jan. 20; 2009; at 8:35 p.m. in Mon Valley Care Center; Carroll Township. Born Aug. 28; 1918; in Charleroi; she was the daughter of the late Joseph J. and Alice Walker. A resident of Belle Vernon for the past 22 years; having previously resided in Lorain; Ohio; Mrs. White was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church in Belle Vernon and was a homemaker. She is survived by a brother and sister-in-law; Joseph J. Jr. and Faith Walker; of Speers; two sisters; Dolores R. Harhai; of Monessen; and Lorraine Nelson; of Belle Vernon (Lynnwood); and numerous nieces; nephews; great-nieces and nephews; and great-great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; Thomas P. White; in 1996. Visitation will be held at the LEONARD J. PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME; family owned and operated; 626 Broad Ave.; Belle Vernon (724-929-6183); on Friday; Jan. 23; from 10 a.m. to noon; at which time a prayer service will be held in the funeral home; followed by a Funeral Mass at 12:30 p.m. in St. Sebastian R.C. Church with the Rev. Lawrence L. Manchas; pastor; as celebrant. Entombment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
