Alberta Bell of 301 Sand Bank Road;Belle Vernon;died Tuesday;Sept.15;1987;in Montefiore Hospital;Pittsburgh. She was 64. Mrs.Bell was born Sept.13;1923;in Layton;a daughter of Rosella Rock of Layton and the late William Rock. She was a member of Lynnwood Lutheran Church and the Belle Vernon VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Mrs.Bell had lived in Belle Vernon since 1971;moving there from Perryopolis. In addition to her father she was preceded in death by her husband;Milton Bell;Dec.5;1976. Survivors;in addition to her mother;include two sons;Gary Bell of Chattnooga;Tenn.;and David Bell of Fayette City;one daughter;Mrs.Kenneth (Henrietta Retzie ) Klanchar of Belle Vernon;two brothers;William Rock of Maryland and Walter Rock of Forest Hills;one sister;Catherine Stipa of Layton;seven grandchildren;one great-grandson;and a good friend;James Otis of Belle Vernon. Friends will be received Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m.and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.in the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home;700 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;where services will be held Friday;Sept.18;at 11 a.m. with Pastor Edward Crotty of the Lynnwood Lutheran Church officiating.
