Albert "Skeets" Smith,67,of 304 Park Manor,Monessen,formerly of Pricedale,died Sunday,Sept. 17,1995,at home after a long illness. Mr. Smith was born Oct. 10,1927,in Pricedale,a son of the late Daniel and Ethel Martie Frazier-Smith. He had retired after 29 years of service from the Monessen plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corporation. Mr. Smith was a member of the Union Baptist Church,Monessen. He was also a past master of St. James Lodge No.7,A.F.& A.M. of Monessen,a companion of Dan Chapter No.1,Holy Royal Arch of Monessen;a sir knight in Mt. Olive No.4 Commandery,Knights Templar of Monessen;and a noble in Zem Zem Tample No.2, A.A.O.N.M.S. of New Salem,Pa. Mr. Smith was also a sublime prince of St. John's Consistory,Valley of Washington. He is survived by his wife of 47 years,Frances Mills-Smith;four sons, Alfred Smith of Monongahela,Al and Kim Smith,both of Pittsburgh,and Peck Smith of Monessen;six daughters, Ethel M. Smith-McNeil of Bethel Park,Sgt. Ruth D. Smith-Cheatham and Sgt. Marie A. Smith-Braswell,both stationed in Germany, Tina M. Smith-Bleich of Camarillo,Calif.,Iris R. Smith-Madison of Belle Vernon and Dyra L. Smith of Monessen;14 grandchildren;three brothers, Calvin Smith of Monessen,James Smith of Pittsburgh and Nathaniel Smith of Pittsburgh;and seven sisters, Louise Smith,Aretha Clausell,Catherine Phillips,Alma Hinton and Barbara Sublett,all of Pittsburgh,Roberta Halloway of Donora,and Cornelius Cook of Cleveland,Ohio. In addition to his parents,Mr. Smith was also preceded in death by two sons,Lawrence and William Robert Smith;by two brothers,Jennings and William Robert Smith;and by three sisters,Bertha Gibson,Bernice Fields and Dorothy Smith. Friends will be received Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Beverly C. Draper Funeral Home,608 sixth St.,Monessen,and Wednesday from 6 to 9 p.m. in the Union Baptist Church,Monessen.
