Obituary

A former Belle Vernon man,father of two children,was killed last Sunday morning,November 26,1950,at 5:30 a.m.when he was struck by two autos as he stepped off the curb near his Brooklyn,N.Y.home on his way to work. He is Albert M.Sherield,who until several years ago resided at the home of his parents,Mr.and Mrs.Solomon Sherield,at 515 Main street,Belle Vernon. According to reports,Mr.Sherield was on his way to work when he stepped off the curb and was struck by an auto. Immediately after he was struck by the first car,another car ran over him. He was a graduate of Belle Vernon High School and served two and one-half years as a staff sergeant in an anti-aircraft unit in the South Pacific. He is survived by his wife,Thresa,formerly of Donora,two sons,Dwayne,aged 3 and Timothy,aged 1,and his parents. Friends will be received Friday,Dec.1,1950,at the home of his parents and funeral services will be held Monday at 1:30 p.m.from the Speer Street A.M.E.Church in Belle Vernon. The Rev.C.F.Bryant will be in charge. Interment will be in the Belle Vernon Cemetery.
