Albert M. Pocky; 77; of Belle Vernon; passed away on Thursday; April 24; 2014; in Jefferson Regional Medical Center. A son of the late Albert A. and Sarah Kady Pocky; he was born in Speers on March 9; 1937. He was a member of the West Newton VFW and the Russian Club of Belle Vernon. A lifelong resident of Belle Vernon; he retired from the Allenport Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Company and served in the U.S. Army. Survivors include two sons and one daughter-in-law; Troy Pocky of Roscoe and Mark and Cathy Pocky of Long Branch; one daughter and son-in-law; Dana and Mark Gallik of Monessen; two sisters; Melva Pocky and Carole Chacko; both of Charleroi; and six grandchildren; Christina Pocky; Zachary Gallik; Machall Pocky; Jordan Pocky; Cody Gallik and Markie Marie Gallik. In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by his wife; Joan Badzik Vernet in 2012.
