Albert H.(Pat) Doherty Sr.;of 909 McClintock St.;Belle Vernon;died Monday;Dec.29;1980;at 2:50 p.m.in Uniontown hospital following a lengthy illness. He was 77. Mr. Doherty was born Jan.14;1903;in Canada; son of the late Erastus and Mary Janette Belle Doherty. A Protestant by faith;Mr.Doherty was retired from the Monessen Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. Survivors include his widow;Edith Jones Doherty;three sons;Dr.William P.Doherty of Warrenton;N.Y.;Richard E.Doherty of Perryopolis and Albert H.(Pat) Doherty Jr.of Monessen;five grandchildren;two brothers;William Doherty of British Columbia;Canada;and Orland Doherty of New Brunswick;Canada. Friends will be received in the Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home;Fayette City;from 1 to 9 p.m.Tuesday. Services will be held in the funeral home Wednesday at 11 a.m. with the Rev.Bruce Smith of the Fayette City Christian Church officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
